What are Counsellor Services?

Counselling services refer to a process in which an individual or group is provided with mental health care or advice. Most commonly, it refers to services that are delivered by a qualified counselling therapist/psychotherapist. These professionals provide guidance and support aimed at improving emotional well-being.

It is important to note that some terms are commonly used interchangeably to describe counseling services including talk therapy, psychotherapy, therapist, and counsellor.

These terms all represent similar services. There are several ways of delivering counselling services, including face-to-face sessions over Zoom, email chat sessions, etc.

Our approach to therapy at Mentality Counselling is direct and honest with an emphasis on the 5 Pillars that make up a healthy human. During sessions we identify actionable steps you can take to make adjustments to your behavioral patterns to break cycles and help you move in the direction that you want to grow. We then tie those steps to a specific pillar of health, pair it with a specific exercise, and focus on breaking a bad habit and creating a healthy new one.

The five pillars as we define them at Mentality Counselling are:
